2018 has been quite the year for MainSpring. From celebrating 25 years in business to being recognized for excellence in IT services, we’ve seen explosive growth within our firm—especially in our IT managed services (ProSuite) team.
As we’ve reflected before, we recognize that our clients are the main reason behind our tremendous growth. Their passion and commitment to improving their IT compliance, reducing risks and increasing productivity has fueled our recruitment efforts, resulting in a new draft class of talented, dedicated IT professionals.
In addition to our new project coordinator, MainSpring recently added four new IT professionals to run two key positions on the ProSuite team; Matt Torrez and Richard Fox both joined our IT help desk as systems engineers, while Aquiles Cabellos and Shadi Haider joined our professional services team as systems administrators.
We’re excited to welcome each of them to the MainSpring team! Here’s a quick overview of our new team members…
As systems engineers, Matt and Richard communicate directly with our clients’ staff to help solve their IT problems, keeping them informed through every step to resolution. They're also responsible for providing maintenance and support for client networks and servers, including firewall and virus/malware management. Matt and Richard’s role in the ProSuite model is vital to ensuring organizations and their staff spend less time suffering from IT issues and more time working productively toward their mission.
Matt Torrez joins the team as a former Marine with over 10 years of in-house IT management experience, as well as six years of experience working with a managed service provider (MSP). In his free time, Matt enjoys painting, photography, working on his old motorcycle, playing the guitar and drums, and spending time with his two kids, Emma and Aaron. You can also find him cheering for his alma mater—the Nebraska Cornhuskers—any chance he gets, as well as the Washington Redskins and the Washington Capitals.
Richard Fox joins MainSpring as a former senior network support specialist, with more than three years’ experience working for an MSP. Richard’s weekends are typically spent with family, but you can also find him fishing, going to car meets or cheering on his favorite sports team, the Miami Hurricanes.
As systems administrators, Aquiles and Shadi are responsible for conducting proactive, onsite IT audits geared toward improving clients’ compliance to IT industry best standards and reducing risk. Their role in the ProSuite model is crucial to helping organizations improve their IT infrastructure and increase staff productivity.
Since graduating from George Mason University with his bachelor’s degree in Applied Information Technology, Aquiles Cabellos has worked as a help desk engineer and IT consultant at two MSPs. Aquiles enjoys paintballing and deejaying on the weekends, while still finding time to volunteer as a GMU alumni advisor for a student organization. He also enjoys cheering on his favorite sports team—the Baltimore Ravens.
Shadi Haider joins MainSpring as a former senior IT consultant with over 10 years of experience in the IT industry. He and his wife, Christine, have three boys, with another baby boy on the way. On the weekends, Shadi enjoys spending time with his family, backyard grilling, coaching soccer, as well as cheering for his favorite team, Real Madrid.
